Why do you enjoy teaching the young children so much?

“Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best.” This is definitely something Bianca believes in and it is one of the reasons she is so passionate about teaching the young learners. She is very thankful that she is a patient teacher and that helps her a lot with the youngest children. Having the youngest children can be a bit of a challenge however she has found it to be the most rewarding. Everything the children learn, they learn from you and that is a big reason why it is so important to be a positive role model for the young learners. These young learners will become adults one day and everything they learn as young children will potentially shape them into what kind of person they will be and that is why Bianca finds it so important to teach the young children but to also make sure she is doing the best job she can.

Why did you decide to become a teacher?

One of the main reasons Bianca become a teacher is because she knows the importance of having a good teacher as she did in school. A teacher is someone you can rely on, trust and most importantly become a friend with. Bianca knows the importance of building good relationships with all her children and she feels that the foundation of friendship she has with the children will ultimately determine their interest in learning and listening in class. This is why Bianca finds it the most important to be a friend first and a teacher second to all of her students. Bianca also loves that she gets to relieve her childhood through her young leaners by joking around and really having a good time in the classroom.

What teaching methods do you enjoy using in the classroom?

Bianca is a fan of the interactive/participative method especially with the young learners. She knows the importance of interacting with her children on a daily basis as well as giving them the confidence to participate more frequently in class. Bianca also knows the importance of repetition with young leaners as this helps them retain new information for longer periods of time. Bianca loves to achieve this method through music, games, role play and any other fun interactive activities that gets the children moving around while still learning the work.
